Career
Services
ImmiEd Global extends its Career Services to encompass a range of support systems intended to assist our International Students in navigating their career paths.
Career Counselling & Career Mentorship are two fundamental components of ImmiEd Inc.’s career services, each offering unique benefits to individuals seeking guidance in their professional development.
Career Counselling
We provide individualized guidance or one-on-one sessions with a trained professional who helps international students explore their interests, values, skills, and personality traits to identify the most suitable career paths. As a result, our counsellors assist students in setting achievable short-term and long-term career goals based on their aspirations, strengths, and limitations.
For this purpose, our career counsellors often use various assessment tools, such as aptitude tests, interest inventories, and personality assessments, to provide insights into potential career options. Also, through discussions and reflection, counsellors aid individuals in making informed decisions regarding education, training, job search strategies, and career transitions.
Our counsellors may also connect international students with proficient resources, such as resume preparation workshops, mock interview sessions, job search databases, etc., to enhance student’s employability.
Career Mentorship
ImmiEd Global’s career mentorship involves a relationship between a more experienced professional (mentor) and a less experienced individual (mentee) aiming to provide guidance, support, and encouragement.
Here, mentors share their expertise, insights, and experiences to help mentees gain a better understanding of their chosen field, industry trends, and potential career paths. Also, mentors offer advice on personal and professional development, including honing skills, building confidence, and overcoming challenges.
Our mentors often take the initiative to facilitate networking opportunities, introducing mentees to industry contacts, professionals, and potential employers, which can expand our international students’ professional network. Unlike career counselling, mentorship typically involves a longer-term relationship and mentors provide ongoing support and guidance as mentees progress in their careers.
Overall, ImmiEd Global’s career counselling and mentorship complement each other, providing international students with a comprehensive support system to navigate their career journeys effectively. While career counselling focuses on self-assessment, decision-making, and resource referral, career mentorship emphasizes experiential learning, networking, and personal development through a mutually beneficial relationship between mentor and mentee.
